about Good Talk PR
Brand Management + Public Relations Specialist
Lauren Sheftell is the principal for Good Talk PR, a boutique public relations and brand management firm representing chefs, musicians, artists, restaurants, and high-profile Hollywood events. Lauren Sheftell has built a career out of her true passions – food, music, and entertainment.
She began her career working in public relations on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for the Democratic Leadership Council, then left to concentrate on the entertainment industry at the Improv Comedy Club. There, her duties ranged from booking to working with agents for comedians like Jerry Seinfeld, Ray Romano, and Rosie O’Donnell.
Moving to the renowned William Morris agency in New York City, she started in the Agent Training Program and then spent several years in the literary department with the agent who handled best-selling authors Tom Clancy, Dean Koontz, and Deepak Chopra. A move to Trident Media Group enabled her to handle fiction and non-fiction from up-and-coming authors.
Relocating to Los Angeles, she secured a job at a boutique PR agency where she oversaw public relations and branding for authors, A-List actors, consumer lifestyle products, and entertainment events.
With her love of music, and affinity for food + beverage, she segued into handling buzzy restaurants and celebrity chef Eric Greenspan. Drawing on her entertainment experience, she was responsible for securing music acts such as Gary Clark Jr, White Buffalo, and Andy Grammer at Greenspan’s restaurant The Foundry on Melrose as well as handling PR for the fine-dining James Beard nominated side of the restaurant.
For twelve years she has been the principal at her full-service agency Good Talk Public Relations, where she works with restaurants, chefs, artists, and musicians to handle a complete range of Brand Management and PR projects utilizing social media, special events, food activations, pop-ups, programming opportunities, and partnerships. From initial concept to actual launch, Sheftell ensures that her clients portray a consistent brand identity across all platforms and achieve national exposure.
A true pop culture addict, there isn’t a Bravo show that she doesn’t watch or a TikTok hack she doesn’t want to try. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida.
Sheftell lives and works in Connecticut and Los Angeles.
